The Simulation de Cumbre Iberoamericana (SIA) 2025 is an exceptional event organized by the Fédération pour la Diplomatie et les Nations Unies (FDNU) and the Association des Étudiants pour la Culture Ibéro-Américaine de La Sorbonne (ECIA Sorbonne). Set to take place in Paris, France, this conference provides university students with the rare opportunity to experience the high-stakes world of international diplomacy. Participants will simulate the role of Heads of State or Government from Ibero-American countries to negotiate and develop new agreements for international cooperation.
The Simulation de Cumbre Iberoamericana (SIA) 2025 offers university students an unparalleled chance to engage with global leaders, develop essential diplomatic skills, and discuss pressing international issues. Held in the heart of Paris, this event is a must-attend for those passionate about diplomacy, international cooperation, and making a tangible impact in global discussions.
The Ibero-American Summits, which began in 1991, were established to formalize the historical ties between the 21 Ibero-American countries and the Iberian Peninsula through dialogue, cooperation, and solidarity. Since then, the summits have become vital to regional cooperation, benefiting citizens with concrete programs that promote growth and mutual support.
This simulation mimics the Ibero-American Summit, where heads of state and government meet biennially to discuss important issues facing the region. By participating in SIA 2025, students will have the opportunity to engage in these discussions, representing the interests of their assigned country while addressing global challenges.
To facilitate smooth communication, the simulation is divided into four committees, each associated with a specific language:
