The Simulation de Cumbre Iberoamericana (SIA) 2025 offers university students an unparalleled chance to engage with global leaders, develop essential diplomatic skills, and discuss pressing international issues. Held in the heart of Paris, this event is a must-attend for those passionate about diplomacy, international cooperation, and making a tangible impact in global discussions.

Overview of the Simulation

The Ibero-American Summits, which began in 1991, were established to formalize the historical ties between the 21 Ibero-American countries and the Iberian Peninsula through dialogue, cooperation, and solidarity. Since then, the summits have become vital to regional cooperation, benefiting citizens with concrete programs that promote growth and mutual support.

This simulation mimics the Ibero-American Summit, where heads of state and government meet biennially to discuss important issues facing the region. By participating in SIA 2025, students will have the opportunity to engage in these discussions, representing the interests of their assigned country while addressing global challenges.

Benefits of Participating for SIA 2025

  • Sharpen your international relations and negotiation skills.
  • Engage in high-level diplomatic discussions on global issues.
  • Be part of a prestigious international network.

To facilitate smooth communication, the simulation is divided into four committees, each associated with a specific language:

  • Security Committee (in English): Focuses on managing migratory and humanitarian crises on a regional level, including issues such as Venezuelan migration.
  • Women’s Committee (in English): Discusses the protection of women journalists in Latin America, tackling safety and equality issues in the media.
  • Commission Économique (in French): Explores the role of Ibero-American cooperation in technological and digital transition, with a focus on economic development and innovation.
  • Comisión de Cultura (in Spanish): Aims to preserve the traditions of indigenous and Afro-descendant communities, ensuring cultural heritage is maintained across generations.
